Hence setting up of a translational paradigm to promote basic research is of paramount importance both for the welfare of mankind and environmental sustainability. Thus, it becomes a prerequisite to set up such a translational platform particularly in research areas such as agriculture, Aqua, & Human health care etc. which can aid in successful translation of valuable leads from basic research. Most of the Biotech based innovative ideas from different disciplines to address medical needs and agricultural health management are still unmet. For instance albeit several drugs are being developed by many academic and research organizations till date, due to reduced early-stage venture investment both for Biotech industry and public funding to academia, these two players do not often have the required resources to sustain the innovations. Additionally, due to increase in start-up funding, focusing on the late phase innovations to fill a translational gap, often referred to as the ‘Valley of Death appears between Pharma on one hand, waiting for de-risked programs, and Biotech’s/academia on the other hand, doing all they can to move their programs across the Valley.
